Center Stage Children's Theater is dedicated to fostering lifelong confidence in every young performer. Every child, no matter how big or small their role, is essential to our productions. They learn that they are genuinely important, which helps them develop responsibility, friendship, teamwork, and collaboration. Center Stage Summer Musical Theatre Camp
Kindergarten–8th Grade
Full Day Camp
Monday–Friday | 9:00 AM–3:00 PM
Friday Performance After Camp
Join us for an exciting week of singing, dancing, acting, and creativity! Each week of camp features a different themed musical experience as campers learn selections from a beloved Broadway Jr. show and perform a condensed showcase at the end of the week.
Campers will:
• Learn songs and choreography
• Develop acting and stage skills
• Build confidence and teamwork
• Perform for family and friends on Friday
This camp is designed for performers of all experience levels. Roles and material will be tailored to accommodate both younger and older students, ensuring every camper has meaningful stage time.

Before registering for this production, please carefully review the commitment expectations below:
Rehearsal Commitment Before registering, please make sure your child is available to attend all scheduled rehearsals for their full length.
Once cast, your child may not be called to every single rehearsal. However, they are expected to keep all rehearsal dates reserved in their schedule for CSCT.
At registration, you will be required to disclose any and all potential conflicts, including:
More than two missed rehearsals may result in your child’s role being reassigned to another cast member. This includes excessive absences due to illness. We understand that sickness happens, but frequent missed rehearsals significantly impact the entire cast and production.
Important Tech Week Notice Please note: SDUSD’s last day of school falls during our tech week and on the same day as our dress rehearsal.
It is of the utmost importance that students in this production prioritize:
While this may seem strict, productions require teamwork, sacrifice, and commitment. Extra activity, sugar overload, exhaustion, and strained voices can directly affect the quality of our performances — and the experience for the entire cast.
This is also a valuable life lesson:
You have to put in the work to reap the rewards.

Spring Production Schedule
Casting Auditions: Open to 3rd-8th Grade
March 11 & 13 — 4:30–6:30 PM
Regular Rehearsals:
March 16–May 22
(Monday, Wednesday, Friday) — 4:30–6:30 PM
No Rehearsal:
March 30–April 3 (Spring Break/Holy Week)
Tech Week:
May 25–28 — 4:30–8:30 PM
Performance Weekend:
• Friday, May 29 — 7:00 PM
• Saturday, May 30 — 2:00 PM & 7:00 PM
• Sunday, May 31 — 3:00 PM
(Matinee moved up one hour due to the Rock ’n’ Roll Marathon.)
Bumble Bee Ensemble: Open to K-3rd grade-No Audition
No Audition Required
Rehearsals once a week on Wednesdays from 4:30-5:30 pm
Crew: Open to 5th-10th Grade-No Audition
Mondays (Required): 4:30 PM – 6:30 PM.
Wednesdays (As Assigned): Not required for everyone; the Tech Director will assign specific crew members based on project needs.
Tech Week & Performances (Required): Attendance at all tech rehearsals and show dates is mandatory for the general crew.
Special Exception: 8th Grade East Coast TripWe recognize that many of our 8th-grade students will be absent during our performance weekend due to their scheduled East Coast trip. We still want you on our team!
8th graders in this position are invited to participate as Pre-Production Crew.
