Important information for all CAST/CREW families
1. Parent Committees - We encourage all parents to join our committees and contribute at least 6 hours of volunteer time. There are numerous ways to get involved! Your participation is a valuable investment in your child's experience at CSCT. For more details about each committee, please check the sign-up genius link above
2. Comp. Tickets - Every cast and crew member can redeem 2 tickets valued at $15 each. See email that sent on 10/18 for coupon code to receive $15 off your purchase. This code can be applied up to 2 times for each child in cast or crew. It will remain valid until after the final production and can be used anytime starting now.
3. Costumes/Shoes/Make-up - All cast members should arrive at each performance wearing underclothes. They should be able to change in and out of their costumes without needing a private changing area, as we have limited space for costumes and changing. We will be utilizing our resources for creating and organizing costumes for this production.
4. Shoes - For all rehearsals, cast and crew must wear closed-toe shoes. For the performance, each child needs to have closed-toe, all-black, soft-soled shoes. Jazz and ballet shoes are preferred, but some groups may opt for alternative options that suit their characters.
5. Additional Optional Costs: T-Shirts - I will be creating Newsies Production T-shirts available for $25 each. A sample shirt will be brought to rehearsal next week, followed by an email for pre-orders.
6. CREW: For performances, crew members are required to wear all black or a CSCT Newsies Jr. production shirt. If you decide to purchase a production t-shirt for your crew member, they can wear it instead of a solid black shirt.
7. Closing Day Ceremonies - After our final performance on Sunday, November 10th, we will host a closing day potluck. We hope all cast and crew members, along with their families, can join us for this celebration.
8. We kindly ask all cast members to arrive at each performance and the final dress rehearsal (for photos) with their hair and makeup already done. Check out this fun and helpful Newsies Hair and Make-Up tutorial linked below. I recommend jumping to 7:05 for hair and 10:20 for makeup. Please keep in mind that this tutorial isn't specifically meant for the characters of Medda, the Bowery Brigade, Katherine, Darcy, the Pulitzer Group, or Snyder. Still, there are some fantastic stage makeup tips in it that can be useful for them too. Even though they'll be dressed as Newsies during the opening scene, keeping their makeup in line with their main character will help make costume changes smoother..
