Rosy Dawn Selwitz-Executive Artistic Director and Musical Director

Rosy-Dawn Selwitz is the executive artistic director and founder of Center Stage Children's Theater and Thornton's Youth Performance Ensemble.
Before starting Center Stage Children's Theater in 2015, Rosy Dawn worked as the musical director for Pacific Children's Theater. Pacific Children's Theater (PCT) helped to build some of the same basic principals that CSCT is deeply rooted in. Rosy Dawn has served as the musical director for The Fiery Spirit Children's Choir, church soloist and choir section leader from 2007-2017 at La Mesa First United Methodist Church. In addition to running Center Stage Children's theatre, Rosy Dawn is also an active performer throughout San Diego. Rosy Dawn has been performing and teaching in San Diego and abroad for the last 20 years. She has performed with the San Diego Lyric Opera and has been a recurring Chorus member with the San Diego Opera chorus since 2004. Rosy Dawn graduated with a Bachelors degree of Music in vocal performance from San Diego State University in 2007. In addition to performing in operas Rosy Dawn has sung in numerous performance groups that include such genera's as Jazz, Bluegrass, Rock and R&B rosy-dawn.com , she loves sharing music with Children, whether it be her private vocal students or in the classroom. Stella Bauer-Seeley – Director & Technical Manager

Stella Bauer-Seeley has grown up in the performing arts, beginning her theatrical journey with Center Stage Children's Theater, and has developed a passion for every aspect of musical theater. An accomplished artist, she has received multiple awards for her visual artwork, with several of her paintings featured in prestigious student art exhibitions. Stella is the technical director of the theater program at Mount Everest Academy, where she has helped expand the program by incorporating more artistic and technical elements. She is on track to graduate with a VAPA (Visual and Performing Arts) Distinction through the San Diego Unified School District and earn the AP Scholar with Distinction Award for her academic achievements. Some of Stella's favorite stage roles include Dorothy in The Wizard of Oz Jr., Puck in A Midsummer Night's Dream, and Miss Hannigan in Annie Jr. From a young age, she has been passionate about creating in many different artistic mediums, including music, choreography, woodworking, sculpture, painting, and stage design. As Technical Manager and Director at Center Stage Children's Theater, Stella loves combining her many creative talents to bring productions to life while inspiring students to explore their own creativity, build confidence, and discover their own joy of theater.

Erin Jelacic-Director and Choreographer

Erin Jelacic discovered her love for the performing arts in Maryland, where she attended the Arts and Humanities Signature Program at James Hubert Blake High School. She continued her dance education at DeSales University, earning a Bachelor of Arts in Dance and being inducted into the National Honor Society for Dance Arts.
Following graduation, Erin moved to New York City, where she interned with Tiffany Mills Company and apprenticed with choreographer Sasha Welsh. She later relocated to San Diego, where she taught dance for San Diego Unified School District's Visual and Performing Arts Program, San Diego Danceworks and Center Stage Children's Theater.
For over 15 years, Erin has taught dance, musical theater and yoga for studios, schools, corporate wellness programs, and community organizations. Throughout her career, she has also performed, choreographed, and produced work across New York, California, and Virginia.
Erin has always believed that storytelling through movement helps children build confidence, creativity, and compassion. Her enthusiasm for musical theater has led her to choreograph productions, direct youth performances, and create engaging theater experiences where every child feels seen, supported, and celebrated.
Erin is thrilled to be part of the Center Stage Children's Theater community and looks forward to helping young performers discover their unique abilities while creating lasting memories on and off the stage.
